Who has time to worry about what the King of the North is doing (or NOT doing) when there are tornadoes launching sharks at the west coast (above)??
On Twitter, more people had time for the latter: Sharknado destroyed the amount of tweets Game of Thrones got after the Red Wedding episode! That’s INSANE!
If you haven’t see the Red Wedding episode yet, don’t worry — we won’t spoil the werewolf/alien sex scene for you, so you don’t have to stop reading! LOLz!
Sharknado got more than 604,000 tweets from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. ET on Thursday, and it’s probably because one of the characters uses a chainsaw to help fight the sharks that are coming down from tornados. We’re not joking!
The Game of Thrones episode drew 241,000 tweets in response to the show. Sharknado hit a peak of more than 5,000 tweets a minute around 10:58 p.m. — sealing the deal!
It looks like a lot of those tweets were from celebs, too! Ha!
Congrats to the whole team over at SyFy for not being afraid of making the most bonkers movie ever!
