Well on her way to being her generation’s Oprah, the talk show and Top Model host has just inked a deal with the CW to produce a new reality show for them.

No, it’s not a show on wigmaking, though Tyra should look into that.

The show is being described as The Devil Wears Prada meets The Assistant.
The series has received an eight-episode commitment and begins production in April for a launch in late spring or summer.

It’s being eyed as a potential companion piece for Top Model.

“It is a competition show about aspiring assistants looking to become assistant editors at a fashion magazine,” co-executive producer Ken Mok. “At the same time they’re trying to prove themselves as aspiring fashionistas, that they have a sense of style and savvyness, all the things to make it in the fashion world.”

No word yet on what magazine will be hosting contestants.
