How awful!
Big Brother contestant Britney Haynes‘ Arkansas home was massively damaged in a fire earlier today — the same day of the show’s finale!
She just moved in to the rental home with her fiance Nick Grisham before going on the show.
Nick did call producers to tell them about the fire, but Britney has no idea.
Nick’s mother Laura Grisham explains:
“He told them what happened and they agreed they wouldn’t say anything to Britney. She can’t do anything. The final show is tonight and it’s live. There’s no sense in her knowing.”
Nick was able to rescue the couple’s two dogs and they have been able to save some possessions. The fire started by a small grill in the backyard which ignited the grass and spread to a garbage can and eventually the house.
Total damage is estimated at $50,000!
Maybe the winner of Big Brother will give her some much needed ca$$$h since she’s already been eliminated!
