Shia LaBeouf Asks Anonymous Callers To Touch His Soul In Touching New Performance Piece!

Shia LaBeouf has no problem creating a bit of a spectacle for the sake of performance art.
Last November, the Transformers star publicly sat through a marathon of his entire filmography for a project called #ALLMYMOVIES.
And a month later, the actor — along with his creative partners Nastja S├â┬ñde R├â┬╢kk├â┬╢ and Luke Turner — sat in a gallery in Liverpool, England and fielded over one thousand calls from strangers worldwide, asking them: “Can you touch my soul?”

The project took place from December 10-13, and aimed to reexamine how we connect with each other on a human level in the postmodern, hyper-connected society we live in today.
The four-day performance piece was documented in a 10-minute short, which saw the actor having intimate phone conversations with a disabled child, a struggling actor, a wrestling fetishist, and many more.
Ranging from poignant, to funny, to even a bit hostile, the exchanges were all genuine and surprisingly moving.
