Shia LaBeouf Reachs Plea Deal After Mardi Gras Brawl -- Will He Face Jail Time??

Shia LaBeouf has settled the case of his Mardi Gras brawl.

As you know, earlier this year, the Transformers star was caught up in a lot of trouble when he was accused of “terrorizing” the city of New Orleans during Mardi Gras. He ended up allegedly getting in a fight with someone in a bar, which led to him being arrested. And now he’s reached a plea in the case.

On Wednesday, the 39-year-old was in a New Orleans courthouse where he pleaded guilty to three misdemeanor battery charges. As for his sentence, he received a six-month suspended sentence and two years of probation, alcohol abuse rehabilitation, sensitivity training, and anger management classes. So… No jail time, for now, and if he can stay out of trouble.

According to The Guardian, his attorney Sarah Chervinsky said what actually happened was “nothing more than a minor bar tussle.” She also denied that any “bias” was involved in the investigation. As for Shia’s part, she says he’s “looking forward to focusing on family, work and new creative projects.”

As we’re sure you know, this is far from Shia’s first run-in with the law — he faced several issues during Mardi Gras season this year!
