That’s right, Sir Patrick Stewart, 74 recently revealed that neither he nor Sir Ian McKellan, 75, will be in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse!
In an interview with Larry King, Patrick was asked whether he’d be reprising his role as X-Men founder and leader Professor Charles Xavier:
“No. Nor Sir Ian McKellen, either… I was learning quite a lot more about it last night, and it is going to be looking very much at the earlier lives of all our characters. And so I don’t think we’ll be making an appearance.”
Oh well.
Although who knows? Maybe some edits will be made and the two thesps will be thrown into the upcoming movie.
The X-Men: Days of Future Past sequel is slated for a 2016 release, and will reportedly feature younger versions of the mutants established in previous films, including Cyclops, Storm and Jean Grey.
Bryan Singer will direct again. Can we hope for a Professor X and Magneto cameo please? Pretty please?
