The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has rejected Snooki‘s application to trademark her nickname to avoid confusion with a previous trademark from 2004.
Apparently “Snooky” has already been marked for a character in the children’s book Adventures of Snooky, about a cat who gets knocked overboard on a family fishing trip.
LOLs!
Snooks still “may respond to the refusal by submitting evidence and arguments in support of registration.”
