Snooki Started Planning Her Own Funeral After 'Terrifying' Cancer Diagnosis!

Snooki was understandably panicked when she found out she had cancer, and it led her to some really dark places!

In Tuesday’s episode of Let’s Be Honest, Nicole Polizzi opened up about having “a breakdown” after being told she had stage 1 cervical cancer. The Jersey Shore star expressed:

“Like, ‘Oh, my God, what am I gonna do? Gotta get my will in place. What’s gonna happen?’ Planning my funeral. I was being so dramatic.”

Oh, no! She was planning her own funeral? How sad, and it really shows how scared she and her whole family were! Oof.

That said, Snooki had a whole change of attitude when she then “did research.” While the diagnosis and next steps were still “terrifying,” she learned it was “so common for women” to have cervical cancer:

“No one really talks about it. I’m gonna be OK, because there’s things I have to do. I’ll be fine, because stage one is the best-case scenario.”

The reality star now has to get a hysterectomy as part of her treatment. She doesn’t have a set date yet, but she’s expecting to have the procedure done sometime in the summer, she explained:

“It’s scary when you hear the word cancer. You’re like, ‘Oh, my God, I’m dying. I have to do all these things, and my body’s gonna change.’”

But the 38-year-old has found tremendous comfort by learning from others who have been through this. While she never expected to share her diagnosis publicly, as she did in February, she quickly realized how valuable being so open could be:

“I didn’t think I was going to tell anyone, just my close family, and that’s it. I needed someone to be relatable and talk about their experience. I went on TikTok, and there’s just so many women saying, ‘I just got diagnosed with stage 1 this is what I have to do.’ Other TikToks saying how they got a hysterectomy and it wasn’t that bad.”

Having benefited from others, she decided to go public as well:

“I literally looked for these women to make me feel better. So, why not talk about it? Because nobody talks about it, and it’s so common.”

We’re sure she’s helping so many others feel seen and less alone during their own health journeys, and hopefully, that support is lifting her up, as well.
