The reviews weren’t great, but since the box office returns were, Universal has decided to start working on a sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman.
Kristen Stewart sure knows how to pick her roles because this will be the second major franchise of her career, which is coming into fruition at the perfect time because Twilight fever is about to end.
A screenwriter has already been hired to work on the second installment and the major actors are all expected to return. The director may or may not return for another go, but the studio is reportedly focusing on making a bigger, better movie this time around.
Due to competition from Julia Roberts‘ Mirror, Mirror, it sounds like some quality was sacrificed to make sure Snow White was ready for a summer 2012 release.
Clearly, the filmmakers did something right because it’s a hit, but hopefully they’ll succeed in making the sequel better than the original.
