Having a big sister who’s an international superstar like Beyonce can be tough on most people. But Solange Knowles has handled herself pretty well, being a successful singer and DJ herself.
And she gives thanks to Bey for being such a shining example.
Solange says:
“She was and is such a role model, but I think more so it was an insane learning process for me to have a big sister like that ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ to be able to see the good, the bad and everything in between that comes with fame and success, and to know what I was getting myself into. But I really enjoy my privacy and being able to walk my son to school every morning and pick him up every afternoon. I know that I couldn├óΓé¼Γäót do that if I was at the next level ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ privacy, as you know, it just doesn├óΓé¼Γäót belong to you anymore. I definitely made a conscious effort to stay as low key as I can and still do what I want to do.”
Solange also fawns over her new baby niece, Blue Ivy:
“It├óΓé¼Γäós very different to being a mother, but there├óΓé¼Γäós still that sort of magnetic bond and love that you can├óΓé¼Γäót even put words on to describe. I think babies in general are so lovable ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ and my sister├óΓé¼Γäós baby, Blue, is so beautiful. She is really a beautiful little baby. It├óΓé¼Γäós really special to have a niece because I have a son, so I get to have a little girl too.”
That baby is certainly well-loved.
And it’s good to know that despite fame and money, Solange and Beyonce are still as close as ever.
