This must be such a proud moment for her. She really deserves it!
Sophia Bush has starred in all nine seasons of One Tree Hill, but for the penultimate episode of the series, which aired Wednesday and was filmed last November, she also took on the role of director!
The actress revealed that she was asked to take the job by producers, and was very touched and thrilled to accept!
She explains:
├óΓé¼┼ôIt was this weird thing where I was like, ├óΓé¼╦£Why is everyone sitting down? I feel like I├óΓé¼Γäóm being called in the principal├óΓé¼Γäós office.├óΓé¼Γäó I burst into tears and acknowledged what an amazing honor that was to be trusted with that. Everything was really important and everything was really valuable. Because I knew that it was the last chance that I was going to have to tell these stories and to honor these characters and to really show their relationships. It just felt supremely important. [The final two episodes] really get back to which all of these people are at their core and why they love each other and why they fought to build a life and community together.”
Awww! It really is going to be an end of an era!
But we’re happy that she was able to be such an integral part of the show’s conclusion!
