Joe Jonas is NOT happy with Sophie Turner going Instagram official with her new man!
On Sunday, the Game of Thrones star took to her Instagram to share several loved-up photos with Peregrine Pearson for his 30th birthday. She gushed in the caption, “Happy Birthday my angel pie. 30, flirty and thriving.” Super cute! See (below):
Except one person def wasn’t liking the carousel! According to a DailyMail.com insider on Monday, the Jonas Brothers frontman felt like the post was a huge “slap in the face.” A friend of his told the outlet:
“Joe feels like Sophie’s over the top birthday love post for Peregrine ‘her angel’ is a slap in the face considering she’s been with him since the moment Joe filed for divorce.”
Oof! As Perezcious readers know, the Cake By The Ocean artist filed for divorce in early September 2023 after rumors of marriage trouble spread. The divorce was instantly messy as they fought over the custody of their children, Willa, 4, and Delphine, 2, but after a tense mediation process, they agreed on a schedule splitting the children’s time in the US and UK. And they moved on.

Weeks later, the actress was caught with her new guy — way before her separation was finalized last month. It’s this technicality that has Joe annoyed, his pal dished:
“Everyone can see it for what it is now. He will always be a present and involved father, but it’s only been a month since they finalized. It’s strange that she went and twisted the knife by sharing how much she loves her new man so publicly like this.”
We mean, at least she waited a year to go public, no? It’s not like she was posting pics with him immediately! She’s just trying to move on — something Joe did quickly after the split, too! He had that brief romance with Stormi Bree. Just saying!
But a second source is standing by Joe, while claiming Sophie is only going to make matters worse in the future. They dished:
“Joe anticipates more pettiness from Sophie as he almost expects her to do something or say something to try to make him feel bad.”
Dang!
Despite being upset about this, the DNCE singer is unlikely to address his frustrations in public, the source shared:
“Joe is trying to play it off as it comes and not get into it as it will ultimately turn against him if he reacts. He wants to continue to be the bigger man.”
Well, his upcoming solo album will be the judge of that! How candid he chooses to be about the split will be telling!
Nevertheless, it seems like Joe is trying to rise above all this, the source concluded:
“Joe never wanted to be without the mother of his children, but unfortunately that wasn’t possible. He wants to be a great dad and hopes that they can eventually get to a place where it isn’t one ordeal after another.”
Their breakup is still relatively fresh, so either of them having a new partner is going to be tough. But they’re gonna have to get used to it and figure out a way to stay amicable for the kids’ sake!
