Viva Forever Is Closing! Spice Girls Are 'Devastated!'

So sad!
The Spice Girls’ musical Viva Forever will be saying goodbye to London’s West End in the next eight weeks! The show, featuring the girl group’s biggest hits, wasn’t good enough to make the cut and will be closing at a loss of close to $8 million! YIKES!
The five released a joint statement upon the announcement of the musical’s cancellation:

├óΓé¼┼ôWe want to thank the cast and all the fans for their support, and although Viva Forever won’t continue in the West End we are thrilled that the thousands of people who came to the show had as much fun as we did.├óΓé¼┬¥

Melanie C and Emma Bunton turned to Twitter to show some love to fans and all those involved in the making of the show:

The show’s producer Judy Craymer also added:

├óΓé¼┼ôThe show has evolved since we first opened and is now brighter, lighter and funnier, but despite the wonderful audiences and extremely positive feedback we just can├óΓé¼Γäót make it work… I’m so proud of everyone involved in this production. Viva Forever! may be taking it├óΓé¼Γäós leave for now in the West End but the legacy of Spice Girls will never fade.├óΓé¼┬¥

RIP Viva Forever! But don’t you worry, ladies! We’ll still Wannabe you!!
