John Cusack should now be safe from his stalker.
Today, Friday, Emily Leatherman pleaded no contest to a felony count of stalking.
By accepting a plea deal, she avoided jail time. Instead, the tomato face received 5 years’ probation and mandatory psychiatric counseling. She was also ordered to stay away from Cusack, his home, and business for the next ten years.
Leatherman was arrested in March outside of Cusacks’s home.
In her statement, Leatherman claimed to have been the victim of sex crimes that only John Cusack could cure with a big boom box on her front lawn blasting Peter Gabriel’s In Your Eyes.
Cusack wasn’t in court, but we’re sure he would have been touched.
In a statement read by the prosection, Cusack said he had never met Leatherman, but hoped she received the help she needs.
We second that!
