Well this is a far cry from Benicio del Toro!
Although it was rumored that Edgar Ramirez would be taking the actor’s place after he turned down the role of the main villain in the upcoming Star Trek 2, it’s been announced that instead, it will be Benedict Cumberbatch, best known for his starring part in the BBC Sherlock series!
He reveals:
“I’m hugely excited and very very flattered. I’m just getting my head round the fact that it’s happening. I’m over the moon.”
We don’t doubt it!
Between this, his roles in War Horse and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, and his upcoming voice role as Smaug in The Hobbit, this guy is blowing up!
We’re excited to see how he does!
Now who the EFF will he be playing?! Ha!
