Stassi Schroeder & Kristen Doute Reconnect Over Firings - But 'Their Feud Is Not Exactly Over'

Here’s a silver lining of the Vanderpump Rules firing scandal for Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute: it’s bringing the two friends back together.

The pair, who already had a strained relationship, were publicly feuding back in March when Doute voiced her frustrations over Schroeder’s lack of work ethic on their Witches of WeHo wine venture. The feud made its way to Twitter, and although Stassi later remarked on her podcast that she “will always love her and [Kristen] probably had good intentions,” it seemed like the BFFs were definitely on the outs.

A Twitter feud in the first month of quarantine seems quaint now that we’re more than three months in and both have been fired from the show!

Now, according to a source for Us Weekly, the pair are reconnecting over their mutual firings. (Or bonding over having targeted a castmate in a racist attack… depends how you look at it!)

The Us insider said:

“Stassi and Kristen have been talking more and more and while they wouldn’t consider themselves ‘best friends’ at the moment, their personal drama with each other has taken a backseat and they’ve been able to reconnect a little and be there for one another.”

However, another Us source earlier this month claimed that despite going through this moment together, the tension in their relationship hasn’t been forgotten. They explained:

“Stassi and Kristen have touched base about all of the recent news about them coming out. But their feud is not exactly over.”

At the very least, it seems like the ice between the two has thawed a bit. Kristen even shared a brief congratulatory message for Stassi and her fiance Beau Clark after the couple announced the sex of their baby.

Plus, the reality stars now share representation after hiring a crisis management team to, well, manage this major career crisis. Their new representative Steve Honig released this joint statement on their behalf:

“Stassi and Kristen acknowledged what they did was wrong, have apologized and been punished. Without casting aside their actions or the impact of those actions, they want to move forward as part of the solution in ways that are productive, meaningful and sincere. Both of them recognize actions speak louder than words and that is what will guide them as they move forward.”

You know what they say: the BFFs who publicly release joint crisis management statements together, STAY together!
