Emma Watson‘s Hollywood friends are some of her biggest supporters!
At the Oscars on Sunday, Steve Carell showed his support for the HeForShe campaign — a cause that promotes gender equality and is very dear to the actress’ heart — by wearing HeForShe cufflinks to go with his fancy suit.
It made Emma really, really happy!

She sent him a handwritten thank you note that read:
Dear Steve Carell,
You were pure genius in “Little Miss Sunshine” (one of my all-time favourite films), my brother became obsessed with you in “Anchorman”, I wanted to marry you or have you adopt me after “Crazy, Stupid, Love”, I hated that guy you played in “The Way Way Back”, and then you were mind-blowing in “Foxcatcher”. I think you’re so awesome and now you are wearing #HeForShe cufflinks at the Oscars to support Gender Equality. Couldn’t be more proud! Thank you.

American Sniper actor Jake McDorman also wore the cufflinks with his suit, and Emma thanked him with a handwritten note, as well!
The cufflinks were designed by the actress and eco-friendly jewelry designer Monique Pean, but we don’t know if they’re on sale for us regular plebeians.
