Fans will remember Darrell as one of the leading men of the earlier seasons of Storage Wars. He, alongside his co-stars Barry Weiss, Jarrod Schulz, and Dave Hester traveled around California and nearby areas to bid on abandoned storage units.
Darrell originally retired after season 12 of the show, but returned in 2021 following a brief hiatus. In 2023, he finally hung up the hat for good, moving to Lake Havasu. He ran an antique store called Havasu Show Me Your Junk in his final years.
A rep for A&E told the outlet:
“We are saddened by the passing of a beloved member of our Storage Wars family, Darrell ‘The Gambler’ Sheets. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.”
Heartbreaking. We’re sending love to Darrell’s family and loved ones. May he rest in peace.
