Patrick Muldoon, known for introducing the character Austin Reed on Days of Our Lives, has sadly passed away. According to TMZ, his sister Shana Muldoon-Zappa said he went to take a shower on Sunday after having a coffee with his girlfriend in his Beverly Hills home. When he went to shower, his girlfriend got worried because he was taking so long.
Heartbreakingly, she found him unconscious on the bathroom floor, unresponsive. When EMTs arrived, they were unable to do anything, and he passed away. We can’t imagine…
His sister told the outlet he had a fatal heart attack. He was just 57 years old.

Patrick was best known for his role on DOOL, in which he played the character Austin Reed from 1992 to 1995, and revived his role from 2011 to 2012. He’s not to be confused with Austin Peck, who took over the role when Patrick wasn’t on the show from 1995 to 2006 and 2017 to 2021.
Just days before Patrick died, he announced an exciting new project alongside Chris Hemsworth and Taron Egerton on Instagram. He was going to be an executive producer on the upcoming film Kockroach. You can see that post (below):
