NJ Supreme Court Rules The State Must Allow Same-Sex Marriage Starting Monday!

Come Monday, same-sex marriage will be officially legal in New Jersey!

Can we get a resounding YAAAAAAAAAAY for the Garden State!?

In response to Gov. Chris Christie‘s appeal of September’s ruling, coupled with his favoritism of civil unions, the New Jersey Supreme Court decided the state must begin granting same-sex marriage licenses for realz!

Sorry govvy!

New Jersey will become the 14th state to recognize same-sex marriage, which is super exciting news!

Hayley Gorenberg, a deputy legal director which filed a brief on behalf of same-sex couples who wanted the right to marry, said in a statement:

“The long wait in New Jersey is finally over ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ the door is open for love, commitment and equality under the law! This is a huge victory for New Jersey’s same-sex couples and their families.”

We’re sure it’s going to be a big wedding week for couples that have waited so long to be recognized!
