This is an interesting story that poses some interesting questions.
The doc is a surgeon during the day, but a ringside doctor at night for boxers. What makes it interesting? That he’s there at night to help those who are purposefully hurting each other for sport, and how different that is from what he handles during during the day. Controlled vs. Non-controlled environments.
Just because it might seem a little odd for a doctor to enjoy boxing and work for people intentionally getting hurt, they’re going to do it anyway, so it only makes sense for a good doc to take the job.
Not only that, but he handles all the physicals before the weigh-ins as well, which has the potential to keep fighters safe, too.
