Sylvester Stallone is reportedly in talks to go toe-to-toe in the boxing ring against Robert De Niro in the Warner Bros. comedy Grudge Match.
The film, which was written by Entourage creator Doug Ellin, follows two retired boxers who return to the ring to duke it out for one final — you guessed it — grudge match!
We’ve seen and LOVE De Niro’s comedic range, but it will be super exciting to see Stallone move away from his action star image and finally accept that he’s an old man. LOL!
Sources say the movie isn’t officially green-lit by the studio, BUT Stallone’s rep has said he’s considering the role AND the director of Tommy Boy has already signed on to direct!
We’re crossing our fingers that this one gets made because we want to see if Stallone’s comedic timing has improved since Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot. Ha!
But srsly, Rocky vs. Raging Bull? That’s box office gold!
