All these years, everyone thought T-Pain was using auto-tune to sound good, but he was actually using it to sound different than everyone else!
Remember when the R&B singer released I’m Sprung and basically auto-tuned the whole song?
Well, since then the Buy You A Drank singer has been widely known for his auto-tuning skillz and songz, NOT for his actual singing voice.

Everyone pretty much assumed he couldn’t really sing.
So, T-Pain stripped down, vocally, and went on to NPR for their Music Tiny Desk Concert and well, he basically set all the rumors straight when he opened his mouth to sing.
