Once again, Target is making AH-Mazing changes!
Earlier this month, the retail titan introduced its first plus-size male model and rid its stores of gender-based labeling!
Now, Target has included a girl with disabilities in its Halloween ad!

The new ad features a young girl who appears wearing arm crutches and leg braces.
The best part is she is happy and smiling with all of the other kids, and oh yeah — dressed up as Elsa from Disney‘s Frozen:

The ad became the center of a media frenzy after Jen Spickenagel Kroll posted it to her Facebook page. The Michigan mom with a daughter who has special needs wrote:

“Dear Target, I love you. Thank you for including a child with braces and arm crutches into your advertising campaign! And as Elsa, no less! My daughter (with arm crutches and prosthetic legs) is going to FLIP when she sees this! Including children with special needs into advertising makes them less of a spectacle to the general public when they venture out into the real world. Normalizing disabilities in children is PRICELESS.”

This is wonderful!
We’re so happy that mainstream ads are starting to show different types of people!
Eventually, people won’t think twice about seeing something like this because it will hopefully start happening a lot more!
