Abercrombie & Fitch just keeps digging a grave for itself!
Just as people were starting to forget about the whole no-plus-sizes fiasco, the retailer has made sure it’s back in the news again!
This time the brand has managed to offend one of the largest, most powerful fandoms in the world — Taylor Swift‘s stanbase!
After producing a t-shirt with “#more boyfriends than t.s.” (RUDE!!!) emblazoned across the front, A&F corporate headquarters received SO MANY complaints they pulled the shirt off the racks!
Now when fans call to bitch at Fitch they hear:
“Thank you for calling Abercrombie & Fitch public relations. If you are calling regarding the Taylor Swift t-shirt, please note this is no longer available.”
Ha! Looks like they really got TOLD by the Swifties!
They should’ve consulted Michael J. Fox before releasing the shirt — he would’ve let them know not to make ANY jokes about Swifty’s love life!
Some lessons have to be learned the hard way.
