Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds weren’t at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s wedding — because the friendship is officially over!
While about 1,000 people gathered at Madison Square Garden for the wedding of the century, a source told Page Six on Friday why Blake and Ryan were nowhere to be seen:
“Taylor’s in a different place now and she just wants to be around people she trusts and who bring her peace. It’s a shame because she and Blake really were close, but she doesn’t think it’s something that’s going to be fixed. As far as [Taylor’s] concerned, their friendship is done.”
Oof.

Despite once being attached at the hip, the ladies have grown apart ever since the actress started dragging the singer into her It Ends With Us legal battle, leading to a big falling out. While at times it’s seemed like there was some hope for a reconciliation, that’s long gone:
“There was a point where Taylor thought she and Blake would get past all of this. She didn’t expect things to end up like this. At first she figured once everything settled down, they’d be fine.”
But…
“But then more stuff kept happening and it just got harder to come back from.”
Damn. That stinks! As for what happened, well, it sounds like A LOT has been going on behind the scenes:
“It wasn’t one big thing, it was everything adding up. By the time Taylor was making decisions about the wedding and who she wanted there, she realized she just didn’t want that kind of energy around something so important and it really was a turning point for her.”
Brutal. But we totally understand and respect Taylor’s desire to avoid drama and tension on her special day!
Blake and Ryan didn’t seem to be holding out hope for a last-minute invite either since they were spotted in upstate New York the day before the ceremony cheering their daughter on at a horse show. Page Six reported last month that the Gossip Girl star wasn’t invited, so that’s likely why she made sure she was booked and far from the city during her ex-bestie’s wedding festivities!
