Who’s afraid of a little controversy?! Not Taylor Swift!
Not according to an insider speaking out about her curious absence from the public sphere amid longtime pal Blake Lively‘s vicious legal battle with It Ends With Us costar Justin Baldoni! And no matter what other sources may be floating about the Mean singer supposedly being in hiding, one is now saying that is definitively NOT the case! Hmmm…

So, unless you’ve been living under a rock lately, you know all about how the Gossip Girl alum has been duking it out with the filmmaker-director. All kinds of accusations are flying in every direction after the pair worked together on the movie version of Colleen Hoover‘s mega-hit romance novel.
And the pop superstar popped up unexpectedly in that legal tussle after Baldoni’s legal team dragged her into their countersuit by claiming she might have relevant knowledge that could provide evidence on his behalf. There’s even been talk of Taylor getting DEPOSED by Baldoni’s attorneys on the matter, with lawyer Bryan Freedman going so far as to tell Page Six back in January that it’ll be a “game time decision” as to whether or not Taylor is asked for sworn testimony ahead of a looming March 2026 trial.
But here’s the thing!!
Even though Swift has been super quiet on the publicity front lately — and especially so when it comes to Lively — a new insider told Page Six on Wednesday that it is not because she’s avoiding the Blake-Baldoni brouhaha! Really?!
Speaking candidly, the source told the outlet Taylor is “not afraid” that there is a chance she might be deposed in the legal war. And more than that, she ain’t hiding! The insider argued:
“[Taylor] is a strong woman and she’s not hiding from anything.”
No argument from us on the first part of that statement! But the second part?! Hmmm…
As for what TayTay is doing right now, this insider echoed our previous reporting about how the Grammy winner is simply choosing to lay low with beau Travis Kelce as he decompresses from a long and difficult football season:
“Taylor is simply enjoying some alone time with Travis and being under the radar for a little bit.”
That’s sweet and all. But do U buy it, Perezcious readers?? Is Taylor really choosing to stay out of the public eye just to chill with Trav?! Or is there some serious Blake avoidance going on here, too??
