Um, Taylor Swift, how do you explain this??
Ever since Blake Lively‘s fight with Justin Baldoni turned into a legal battle, the pop star has been dragged into the drama. But what was her involvement behind the scenes of It Ends With Us?? Justin has claimed she showed up at a meeting at Blake and Ryan Reynolds‘ penthouse apartment to intimidate him over script changes Blake wanted. In a now-infamous text, Blake went on to call the singer one of her “dragons.”
The whole thing has reportedly led to a rift between the pals with sources close to Taylor insisting she did NOT have creative involvement in the movie and never even meant to run into Justin during that script meeting. But these resurfaced interviews tell a totally different story…

In a chat about the casting process, Justin shared:
“I found Isabela [Ferrer]. Our wonderful casting director sent me her tape. Just the resemblance [to Blake]. She is a phenomenal actress, and this was her first film.”
When asked if it was true that the songwriter helped her get the role as Young Lily, Justin confirmed:
“I was casting and I had actually brought in and showed her casting to Blake and Taylor, and they were both like, ‘Yes, her!’ And that’s a true story.”
He was running casting choices by Taylor?! That seems odd — especially because of how seemingly annoyed he was when Taylor was brought into the script issue. Did Taylor just happen to be hanging with Blake at the time? Or was this a planned meeting?? That makes a big difference.
Isabela was also asked about this on the red carpet of the movie’s premiere, telling Extra about Tay’s involvement in her getting the job:
“Yes, she did [have some influence]. I don’t know if I’m meant to be saying it, but I’m saying it. Yeah, she was a helpful part of the process of the audition, which I found out later after I got it and that rocked my world.”
Blake also credited Taylor for her help throughout the entire process, saying in a different chat:
“I mean, honestly, she was with me on this experience the whole time all throughout it, so she really lived this with me.”
Huh…

As mentioned, Tay’s circle has hit back at these claims. In a TMZ report earlier this month, a well-connected insider said the Anti-Hero artist was upset after learning Blake had been using her name for a long time in the industry, such as by telling an actress that Taylor “cast her.” It hasn’t been confirmed if the insider was referring to Isabela’s casting, but it seems likely now given what we know. That seems to imply Taylor had far less influence than they’re saying. After all, she was reportedly upset because of her name being thrown around fraudulently. Right?
So, was Taylor secretly WAY more hands-on with this flick than anyone realized? Or was this really just another matter of being in the right place at the right time, like during that script meeting? And yet another reason for her to be upset at Blake then pushing the narrative that she was helping with the film? Sound OFF (below).
