Taylor Swift could not believe what came out of Katy Perry’s mouth while onstage at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards!
Following a performance of her greatest hits on Wednesday night, the 39-year-old Perry received the Video Vanguard Award. During her acceptance speech, she took a moment to thank the many people who helped and supported her throughout her career — including the LGBTQ+ community. She quipped:
“My Katy Cats! You stood by me for a lifetime, and the LGBTQ community who I recognize I would not be here without and who show me that you can be both kind and c**t.”

But the funniest part was that, upon hearing Katy say “c**t” on live TV, guess who had the biggest reaction in the crowd??? None other than Tay — Perry’s former enemy!
The pop star’s jaw literally dropped in disbelief at first! She then turned around to smile at her longtime friend and collaborator Jack Antonoff, who was seated next to her. He pointed at Taylor as she nodded her head! Take a look (below):
