On Tuesday, it was revealed that despite the Blank Space singer’s alleged threats of legal action against Kanye West over the taped conversation his wife Kim Kardashian West released on Snapchat, it’s unlikely that the powerhouse couple will ACTUALLY face criminal prosecution. Why, you may ask?

Well, IF Tay Tay decides to sue the All Day rapper and his lady, it would be a hard one to win since the blonde beauty had no reason to expect her conversation with the A-lister was private. As TMZ points out, the entire phone call about Yeezus’ track Famous was placed on speaker phone and music producer Rick Rubin even chimed in during the convo. Still, that doesn’t mean the Shake If Off artist’s privacy wasn’t violated by Kimmy Kakes’ truth bomb on SC.
Apparently, it’s illegal in California to record a confidential conversation with someone without their knowledge — BUT that doesn’t include chats that may be overheard. We can only imagine this info was told to Kim and Kanye by their lawyers as they’ve been prepping for a potential lawsuit.
While we feel for Taylor during this latest drama, we’ll certainly be shocked if she decides to pursue legal action against the Kardashian/West family. Stay tuned…
