Lena Dunham and Taylor Swift have basically solidified their BFFL status at this point.
We knew that Lena, creator and star of the massively popular TV series Girls, was a HUGE Taylor Swift fan.
And now we have discovered that Tay Tay is also a HUGE Lena Dunham fan!!!! We love it when pieces like this come together so nicely.
Lena raved about Taylor a few years back, saying:
├óΓé¼┼ôI feel like she and I are artistic kindred spirits. She may not know it yet├óΓé¼┬ªI’d love to tell her. I feel like the way she uses autobiography in her work and the way she calls out guys who have, you know, fronted on her before. But at the same time there is something sort of affectionate and non-judgmental about her music that I appreciate.├óΓé¼┬¥
That’s most certainly true!!
Taylor has since talked about her admiration for Lena, saying:
“She’s a writer, director and actress who stars in this show called Girls on HBO. And it’s — my friends and I — it’s our favorite show. And I’ve always been really blown away by how she’s so young — she’s in her mid 20s — and she does all these things. She creates so much. When I found out that she listens to my music, it absolutely floored me. It made my day, honestly.”
Let the friendship bracelet making commence! These two seem to be artistic kindred spirits after all.
