Additionally, the Shake It Off singer revealed her new single, titled You Need to Calm Down, is coming out June 14, with the music video debuting on June 17.
In her announcement, the 29-year-old described her seventh LP as “very romantic,” explaining:

“I’ve been so, so, so honored… This album, in tone, it’s very romantic… Not just simply thematically, like it’s all love songs or something. The idea of something being romantic, it doesn’t have to be a happy song. You can find romance in loneliness or sadness or going through things in your life… it just looks at those things through a romantic gaze.”

However, the name of her new project is no surprise to hardcore fans.
In her livestream, the singer confirmed Swifties were able to guess the album title based on Easter eggs in her recent ME! music video.

“In the ME! music video there were a lot of foreshadowing clues.”

As for the August 23 release date, she joked:

“August is the eighth month of the year. 23, 2 + 3, you just add it all together, 8 + 2 + 3 equals… I’m obnoxious.”

As we wrote, Joe Alwyn‘s girlfriend and former nemesis Katy Perry are finally at “peace” with each other after the Roar musician suggested on IG that Swift sent her a plate of delicious chocolate chip cookies with “Peace At Last” written in frosting.
We can’t wait for Taylor’s new music!
