What a special moment for Taylor Swift to share with a fan battling brain cancer — and to think it was all brought on by the daughter of one of this country’s most powerful politicians!
Wait, what?!
OK, let’s start from the beginning. On Saturday night, Taylor met up with Lexi Caviston, a 21-year-old Swift fan who happens to be battling brain cancer right now.

The meet-and-greet went down at the singer’s Reputation concert in Philadelphia, and it was all thanks to social media as Caviston’s friend had long been trying to get her story noticed by Swift on Twitter.
But it only ever did get noticed after an unlikely source, Meghan McCain, host on The View and daughter to U.S. Senator John McCain, took notice nearly two weeks ago (below)!
Hey @taylorswift13 – we have never met, but anyway you can meet Lexi at your concert in Philly? She is fighting the same #glioblastoma cancer my father has and this would make both of our days! xo – Meghan McCain https://t.co/2RJPCAJtS3

Oh wow!!
McCain had learned about the campaign because her own father is battling the exact same form of cancer, and Meghan and Lexi got connected that way.
And so, Meghan decided to use her celebrity for good, and reached out to Swift’s people!!
