New Taylor Swift music is coming! Or that’s what Swifties seem to think after the pop star sent them into a frenzy over a mysterious countdown on her website this week! Just don’t expect an announcement for TS13! Instead, fans think she created a song for a beloved film franchise!
A countdown popped up on her official site on Thursday morning, but it did not stay up for long! It quickly disappeared and reverted to the original Life of a Showgirl page after roughly 10 minutes. However, it was up long enough for fans to grab screenshots and start theorizing what it’s for!

So, the clock was counting down to 2:00 p.m. EST or 11:00 a.m. PST on May 2. We should expect an announcement around then! Hopefully! And before any of the negative Nancys out there assumes she’s announcing another vinyl variant of her album, here’s why you are likely wrong! The countdown had quite a few clues, leading many folks to believe the reveal involves Toy Story 5! Most likely a song for the upcoming movie! OMG!
You see, the background featured a few unmistakable Toy Story-inspired details — including the signature blue background and white clouds on Andy’s bedroom wall. The numbers on the countdown clock are in the same colors as the film title. See the comparisons (below):

Other clues? While everyone was looking at the sentimental ring she wore in New York City earlier this week, we apparently should’ve paid more attention to her outfit! Taylor stepped out in a blue-and-white striped dress, a yellow Dior bag, and dark red Christian Louboutin sandals, and they’re possibly easter eggs for the announcement! The dress is the same color as her countdown background. The yellow purse is similar to the Toy Story font for the movie posters, and the shoes and even her signature red lip match the red square box around the word “story.” Take a look (below):

The timing is also worth noting! See, Toy Story 5 will hit theaters on June 19. The soundtrack is expected to drop that day, too. What else happens on the date? It’s the 20th anniversary of Taylor’s debut single Tim McGraw! What better way to commemorate the start of her career by releasing a single for a beloved movie franchise! Perhaps Tim McGraw (Taylor’s Version) will even find its way on the soundtrack! Who knows! All of this is too much to be a coincidence! You can’t deny that!
