Taylor Swift Tops Rihanna To Become Richest Female Pop Star -- See Her Net Worth!

Tay Tay has dethroned RiRi as the richest female musician, according to Forbes!

It’s always fun to check out the evolving lists of the richest celebs out there. And this time we actually have a fight on our hands! The top earners in the musician category most recently have been Jay-Z and Rihanna. But now Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour and her most recent music releases have bumped her up to that number one female slot!

T-Swizzle, of course, is the first musician to ascend to billionaire status solely through her work with music. On Saturday, she made another achievement in the music world when her value on Forbes’ website was bumped up to showcase her billionaire status, writing down her net worth as $1.6 BILLION DOLLARS! Whoa!

It’s estimated $1.2 billion of those bucks were made in the past four years alone. Back in 2020 her net worth was only around $325 million. Still a TON of money — but what a jump! Seems like re-recording her music ended up being the best thing for her in the long run! Forbes estimates her worth to be around $600 million from her catalogue, $600 million from touring and $125 million from her real estate.

That means she flew by RiRi who has a $1.4 billion net worth! Sure, some is from her music — but she’s also KILLED THE GAME with Fenty Beauty, Savage X Fenty lingerie, and other brilliant business moves she’s made over the years. Her net worth peaked at $1.77 billion in the past, but she’s stalled lately on her new music. She hasn’t released an album since 2016, and just this summer she told ET she’s tossing everything she had and “starting over.” So it may be a while. Tay has yet to reach those heights, but she’s still going strong. And once The Eras Tour comes to a close, it’s likely she’ll be setting a new record.

The top 10 earning musicians, as it stands today, are said by the outlet to be:

  1. Jay-Z – $2.5 billion
  2. Taylor Swift – $1.6 billion
  3. Rihanna – $1.4 billion
  4. Bruce Springsteen – $1.1 billion
  5. Jimmy Buffett – $1 billion
  6. Madonna – $850 million
  7. Dr. Dre – $800 million
  8. Beyoncé – $760 million
  9. Sean “Diddy” Combs – $740 million
  10. Julio Iglesias – $600 million

Like Rihanna, Jay-Z’s money mostly comes from his smart business endeavors. We wonder how much he’ll be affected by negative associations with good pal Diddy over the next couple years… After all, he’s the brand. Hmm. Could Tay even surpass him??
