Man Arrested After Allegedly Convincing 14-Year-Old Girl To Record Her Father Raping Her

arrest police rape online exploiting sexual bryan rogers

A Wisconsin man has been arrested after encouraging a 14-year-old girl, who claimed her adopted father was raping her, to record a video of the rape so police would buy her story.
According to The Washington Post, Bryan Rogers (above) met the young teen online in December while playing the game Roblox. The girl eventually confided in him that she was suicidal because her adoptive father was molesting her and her mother didn’t believe her when she told her about it.

Rogers, 31, reportedly said he would help the troubled teen if she recorded the rape to use as proof. In a message obtained by the FBI, he said:

“I know you don’t want to do it but I don’t exactly want to see your dad rape you either. But we need clear video evidence.”

While the girl made it clear she did not want to record the assault, Rogers continued to press her, writing:

“He’s been molesting you for 12 years … If that’s not enough of a reason to get the video then idk what else to tell you.”

Eventually she gave in, recording a video of what police say is her adoptive father Randall Pruitt raping her and later sharing it with Rogers.
On January 13, Rodgers drove to the girl’s Tennessee home in the middle of the night and brought her back to his house in Wisconsin. Her mother discovered she was not in her bed the next morning and called the authorities.

A two-week long search led police to Rogers’ home. When they arrived, Rogers told officials he had talked to the teen but denied she was with him.
After police returned and searched the house, they found the girl hiding in a basement closet.
Rogers was arrested and faces a minimum sentence of 15 years for sexual exploitation of a minor for the purpose of producing a visual depiction. When asked why he didn’t share the footage with authorities immediately, he said he “he thought it was blurry and would not hold up in court.”
Meanwhile Pruitt has been charged with rape. His bond is set at $2 million.
