Opening up.
Jenelle Evans isn’t afraid to open up about her past addiction with heroin in her new memoir, Read Between the Lines: From the Diary of a Teenage Mom. In fact, as the reality TV personality depicts in her upcoming book, she was once shooting up the drug anywhere between four to five times a day.

Sadly, the opioid drug began to control her life not long after the first time she tried it. Although Evans didn’t want to “glamorize the drug” by going into the “long details” of her usage, she did reveal that her “first trip was amazing.” Oof.
The MTV celeb continued:
“Before I knew it, I was shooting up four or five times a day. I was hooked.”
Man, oh man. Unfortunately, as documented on Jenelle’s hit show, the young mom became estranged from many of her loved ones because of her addiction — and even lost custody of her son, Jace. The Teen Mom 2 starlet added:
“I disowned my mother and siblings and friends, but the truth is no one wants to talk to you when they suspect you’re a junkie…It hurt my heart, made me sick to my soul that I couldn’t see my son. I filled that hateful void with more drugs. The drugs always made the pain go away. They didn’t turn on me or betray me. I guess heroin was my first steady, dependable lover. It gave me what I needed to live and I gave it my life. By this entry, heroin was the only thing I had in my life that loved me.”
Intense stuff. Thankfully, the 25-year-old is now sober and has gotten her life back on track.
