Just sick!
The remains of a missing 15-year-old girl have been recovered from a deserted apartment building in Texas.
According to reports, the body of Karen Perez was found Monday night, hidden beneath a sink in an abandoned residential complex in South Houston.
The remains were found by Texas EquuSearch, a group of trained volunteers that assist in missing persons cases nationwide.

Police say a 15-year-old boy has been detained in connection with Perez’s murder. While the boy’s name is not being released due to his age, officials say he has been charged with a single count of murder.
On May 27, Perez went missing after leaving South Houston High School — which is located directly across the street from the complex where her corpse was later found — with her ex-boyfriend and another male.
Maria Perez, the victim’s aunt, spoke out about the dangerous complex, telling reporters many neighbors want it torn down:
”Everybody knows that when they skip [school], they come here to this property, and it’s so dangerous and I can’t believe nobody has [done anything about it.]”

Perez was also seen in a surveillance video walking into a store with two males — though officials would not say whether either male in the video was the teen charged with her murder.
The accused 15-year-old is due in court on Wednesday.
We hope Perez’s killer is brought to justice and our hearts go out to her family at this trying time.
