The Canyons Director Praises Lindsay Lohan A Week Into Production!

It’s only a week into production of The Canyons, and apparently, Lindsay Lohan hasn’t effed it up so far!
The actress is appearing alongside porn star James Deen in the Bret Easton Ellis-filmed project, and despite her penchant for crashing cars and/or causing general mayhem on-set, director Paul Schrader has taken to Facebook to sing her praises!
He writes:

LINDSAY. Seven days in, first full week completed. Lindsay Lohan is a huge fan of Hollywood glamour and performances from the Golden Era. Working with her every day on varied scenes I’ve been making a mental checklist of classic movie performances she’s touched upon. There’s has been a lot of Ann Margaret, some Gena Rowlands and Faye Dunaway and of course some bits of Liz Taylor and Monroe as well as a little Rita Hayworth and even Gene Tierney (although the last may be more my creation than hers). Oh yeah, and Angie Dickinson. And Lee Remick. And Shelley Winters… . Paul S.

We didn’t realize that so many varied and accomplished performers could be channeled into one character…especially since Tara is described as a waste case who “sold her pride for material comforts.”
But we all certainly shall see when this one gets released, won’t we?
Either way, one thing is for certain: it’s gonna be inneresting!
