Now her bandmates, Noel Hogan, Mike Hogan, and Fergal Lawler, have said their own heartbroken public goodbye.
They wrote on Twitter:
We are devastated on the passing of our friend Dolores. She was an extraordinary talent and we feel very privileged to have been part of her life from 1989 when we started the Cranberries. The world has lost a true artist today.

Less than a month ago, on December 20, Dolores herself took to the Cranberries Facebook page to update friends on an ongoing back problem that had kept her from touring.
She wrote:
Luckily, a fan was recording during one of those gigs.
