The Godfather Actor Robert Duvall Dead At 95 -- Wife Mourns The Loss Of Her 'Everything' In Touching Tribute

The Godfather Actor Robert Duvall Dead At 95

Legendary film star Robert Duvall has died.

With a career spanning over seventy years, the actor passed away on Sunday “peacefully at home” surrounded by his family, per a Facebook post from his wife Luciana Duvall:

“Yesterday we said goodbye to my beloved husband, cherished friend, and one of the greatest actors of our time. Bob passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love and comfort.”

The post continued:

“To the world, he was an Academy Award-winning actor, a director, a storyteller. To me, he was simply everything. His passion for his craft was matched only by his deep love for characters, a great meal, and holding court. For each of his many roles, Bob gave everything to his characters and to the truth of the human spirit they represented. In doing so, he leaves something lasting and unforgettable to us all.”

The 54-year-old wrapped up her statement by asking for privacy. Robert was 95.

You most likely know him for his role as Tom Hagen in The Godfather, but his career spans from the 1950s to his final role in 2022’s The Pale Blue Eye. Other notable films he graced the screen in are Secondhand Lions, Lonesome Dove, Apocalypse Now, Tender Mercies, To Kill A Mockingbird, The Judge, and Gone In 60 Seconds.

What a career!

We send our love to Luciana and the rest of his loved ones. Rest in peace, Robert.
