The Interview Writer Speaks Out On Free Speech As Sony Pulls Movie Over Hacker Threats!

no title
We were so saddened to hear that The Interview was going to be shelved indefinitely by Sony.
Whether you have any interest in seeing Seth Rogen and James Franco bumble an assassination attempt against a world leader or not, this might be a devastating loss.
After all, this is looking more and more like a clear cut case where threats of violence oppressed someone’s free speech.

So what does the writer of the world’s most controversial comedy think?
Dan Sterling, who co-wrote the film with Seth and Evan Goldberg, is standing his ground in defense of free speech. He said:

“If they want to bomb somebody for their free speech, I would like to be at ground zero, because I don’t want to live in that kind of world.”

This is a pretty heartbreakingly serious statement from someone paid to bring the funny.
