GLEE creator Ryan Murphy is turning the play, The Normal Heart, into a feature film!
The groundbreaking play was one of the first to address AIDS and American healthcare issues.
The story is summed up a little like this…
After a strange, new illness breaks out — one that only seems to target a specific group of people — a group of friends band together to fight the truth from being buried by the doctors and the press.
Yes! We love it!
In talks to star is none other than Julia Roberts! AND Mark Ruffalo!
Murphy confirmed the rumors in a recent interview:
The Normal Heart is the thing that I’m going to do next. I optioned it and there’s a brilliant script that Larry Kramer wrote and I’m going to do that with Mark Ruffalo and maybe Julie Roberts. I believe in that play.
We really cannot wait for this to be made. We believe in it too!
