Last night was rather disappointing on X Factor. There was only ONE performance that truly stood out!
But, thankfully, that one performance was way worth it and completely overshadowed all others!
That ONE performance was delivered by Astro, the teen phenom who delivered the best performance of “rock” week – by rapping!
Astro is SUCH a star, and never was it more apparent than in his performance last night of I’ll Be Missing You, arguably our favorite performance of all the ones he’s done on the show thus far!
He was riveting – from start to finish! Such a knockout! Not just a homerun but a GRAND SLAM!!!

And, on the flip side, Stacy Francis was soooooo bad last night that we had to showcase how poorly she performed last night!
Stacy already regrets her performance of Celine Dion’s It’s All Coming Back To Me Now. But she only has herself to blame! That song was Francis’ own pick for rock night!
So many notes! And so many BAD ones! Her voice was all over the place!
Was that some kind of experiment or vocal exercise????
She also seemed out of breath and lacking connection with the song.
Stacy was by far the worst performer last night – and she knew it! You could tell by the expression on her face as she was receiving the judges’ harsh critiques!

– LeRoy: Boring!
– Rachel: WTF???? Why would Simon giver that song???? Such an adult song for such a young girl! It’s about sex!!! Or lack thereof! She doesn’t even car a car! She didn’t sell this convincingly. She didn’t connect to the material. And what was she wearing???? We did not feel this performance at all!
– Chris: His vocal range is limited – and this performance really showed that!
– Melanie: She was feeling it. She sounded great and looked even better, BUT…. she did not wow us last night.
– Josh: The rock category is his sweet spot! Did a great job!
– Lakoda Rayne: We hated the song choice for them! It was off brand! They’re trying to create a country pop girl group yet they went with a pure pop song last night, complete with pop outfits and cheesy pop choreography. We would have preferred if they did a real country rocker, like Sweet Home Alabama. That would have suited them so much more! Last night felt too conventional and boring. Plus, their vocals were not on point! It’s okay, though. We still LOVE these girls and think they will go far!
– Drew: Her voice is intoxication. However, this felt like more of the same! We’ve seen this. It’s the same every week with her it seems like, both vocally to how her songs are arranged. We want more variety from her!
– Marcus: This felt like a bad Vegas routine! No! Just no!
– BOTTOM TWO tonight will be Stacy Francis and Lakoda Rayne, we think, with Lakoda likely going home – even though Stacy is the one who should be sent packing. Rayne has so much more potential!!
