The Pitt Star Sepideh Moafi Addresses Feud Rumors With Noah Wyle!

The Pitt might be one of the most dramatic ERs ever — and we’re not just talking about on-screen!

The hit HBO Max show has already come under fire for shocking cast exits, especially the latest reveal that Supriya Ganesh will not be in the third season. Not only was she a beloved character on the medical drama, but it also highlights an alarming trend: all the major exits have been women of color!

Now, there’s more drama brewing with yet another female cast member! The second season of the show featured a TENSE dynamic between Noah Wyle‘s Dr. Robbie and newcomer Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi, played by Sepideh Moafi. And the on-screen rift was so strong, it led to a theory among the fandom that the storyline was based on an IRL feud between the cast members behind the scenes! Yikes!

While speaking to Variety on Wednesday, the actress actually addressed the controversy, insisting there’s no bad blood with the leading man, who also executive produces and writes the series! She said:

“We’re really great colleagues. Noah and I have always had a great working relationship, which is why it actually felt safe to do the darker, dirtier work in episode 15, particularly because, between setups, we were shooting the s**t and laughing.”

Making it perfectly clear where she stands on the rumored rift, she added:

“So that’s completely false that there’s a personal sort of beef or rivalry between us, at least not that I’m aware of. You can check with Noah, but I don’t know about this.”

And to prove her point, Sepideh confirmed she will be in the upcoming season, which is set to start filming this summer. However, she doesn’t know to what extent:

“At the moment, I am. I’m not sure to what capacity. I’m positive, I think? Nothing is clear to me as to what’s happening with the story, how many episodes, all that, but I am coming back.”

Hmm. Seems like things are still very much in the air! But at least the rift isn’t real!
