Don’t hate the players and don’t hate the game. Just … make it work!
Soap fans lost a lot this year as two long-standing shows finally met their end on network television. Fans of One Life To Live had taken up arms (so to speak) against their favorite show’s replacement, The Revolution. This new type of talk show, which features Tim Gunn, Ty Pennigton and other personalities, who reach out to ordinary people and help make their lives better.
Since the essence of their show is a peaceful and productive one, Tim is hoping OLTL fans will forgive the circumstances that got them on the air, and embrace their new show all the same. He explained at the show’s TCA panel:
“We’re not trying to replace anyone, we’re a very different flavor. And we hope people will tune in and be inspired by the information that we give and by our takeaways and speaking for me… it’s just a great joy and a great privilege and honor to be part of ‘The Revolution.’”
Well, we’re glad to hear he is proud of the work he is doing … but is that enough to suffice the scorned fans who will no longer see how things pan out in Llanview,PA every day!
Perhaps time will heal this wound. That … and a little more screen time for Ty. Hey, we know you ladies loooooove him! Don’t deny it!
