The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 was a monster hit this weekend, becoming the fifth biggest opening in box office history.
What? It wasn’t THE biggest opening?
Making $139.5 million domestically and $283.5 million worldwide, it brought in an 11% boost since last year’s Eclipse.
Meanwhile, the number 2 film, Happy Feet Two is being described as a “disaster,” opening with just $22 million – only half of what the 2006 original made. The fact that the movie was pretty costly with its 3D effects, this is a huge fail for Warner Bros.
Whomp whomp!
