This Is It?! Jackson Film Debuts To Less-Than-Stellar Numbers On First Full Day!

While impressive for any other release, the $7.4 million earned domestically from the Michael Jackson film This Is It on Wednesday was disappointing!
Reviews have been favorable and the film is expected to reach the $40 million mark in its first five days. And abroad it’s doing even better! It garnered $12.7 million in its first day of release.
But, due to the high expectations – Sony may be disappointed!
There’s no word from the studio whether the two-week engagement will be extended.
