Before Transformers propelled Shia LaBeouf into a whole new level of fame, the actor was just a child star on the beloved Disney sitcom, Even Stevens.
Shia’s long held goofy persona as the lovable Louis Stevens is why we’ve had trouble accepting the actor’s descent into bad boy territory over the past 10 years(car crashes, bar fights, and public meltdowns, etc.).
While Shia has many bad boy moments to choose from, we’re most interested in the first time he truly set Hollywood ablaze with a VERY juicy scandal involving his Transformers co-star, the vivacious Megan Fox. In 2011, Shia strongly hinted at a sexual relationship between himself and Megan, which would have been totally fine except Fox was in a RELATIONSHIP with Brian Austin Green at the time of the alleged hook-up.
The revelation shocked fans not only because the pair engaged in an affair(though Megan claimed that she and Brian were on a break at the time), but also because of Shia’s cavalier and arguably cocky attitude towards the whole situation.
In 2011 interview, Shia revealed:
“Look, you’re on the set for six months, with someone who’s rooting to be attracted to you, and you’re rooting to be attracted to them. I never understood the separation of work and life in that situation. But the time I spent with Megan was our own thing, and I think you can see the chemistry onscreen.”
When the interviewer asked Shia whether or not Megan and Brian were together at the time, the actor simply said:
“It was what it was.”
After the interview, sources from Megan’s camp cited the actress as feeling very embarrassed and betrayed by Shia.
The source explained:
“Megan’s been in tears, and is apologizing to Brian–even though technically she didn’t do anything wrong since they were on a break…they are so angry at Shia.”
While the rumors of bad blood between Shia and Megan were strong back in 2011, it appears the pair have since worked it out.
In a recent interview, Megan expressed nothing but love and support for her former co-star.
Megan said:
“I’m not worried about Shia. I love my Shia. He’s perfectly fine.”
While some might disagree that Shia’s ‘perfectly fine,’ it does appear that the actor is TRYING to atone for his past mistakes.
Though we can’t foresee if Shia will actually reform his bad boy image, one thing is for sure–his hot hook-up with Megan will live on in our collective memory forever.
