Ah, it seems like just yesterday that Kate Middleton and Prince William were just two young lovebirds at St.Andrews University in Scotland.
What started off as a innocent campus friendship in 2002 eventually ignited into a full blown love affair, which sent the world into an absolute FRENZY.
Over the course of eight long years, Kate and Prince William flaunted their royal love around the globe and as time quickly passed, everyone speculated, WHEN will Prince William propose to Kate!?
The British tabloids became so obsessed with the couple’s romantic future that they even dubbed the now Duchess of Cambridge as Waity Katie. While the nickname was a little mean, in all fairness, Kate did wait a VERY long time for Prince William to get down on one knee!

After a breakup in 2007, reportedly spurred by Prince William’s marriage fears, the two eventually reconciled and things got serious REAL quick.
In the tell-all book Kate, it was revealed on a reconciliation trip to Seychelles in the Indian Ocean, Kate and Prince William formally agreed they would be with each other for the rest of their lives.
Three years later, the world got their wish when Prince William FINALLY proposed to the love of his life, Kate. In an adorable move, Prince William used Princess Diana’s engagement ring to pop the question in a remote part of Africa while the two were on a safari. The palace officially announced the engagement on November 16th, 2010.
